Education programs with the Delaware Nature Society are designed to be hands-on, inquiry based, and age-appropriate. We offer programs for a broad range of topics, times, and costs and can customize programs to suit your needs.
School Day Field Trip Programs

Field trips are a great way to engage your students in hands-on investigations into the curriculum. Choose a program or ask us about custom-designed programs. Consider scheduling morning and afternoon programs with a picnic lunch to maximize use of the bus.

Overnight and Extended-Day Programs at Ashland Nature Center or
Abbott's Mill Nature Center
Overnights and Extended Days are a special adventure for everyone! One to three day programs are developed collaboratively with school leaders, assuring that educational standards and objectives are integrated into program design. A great kickoff or culminating activity for your curriculum! A free teacher's planning guide will be sent to you upon reserving a date.
Registering your program
We strive to make setting up a program easy. Our staff is happy to help you choose the right program to suit your needs, and funding support is available to help make your program happen!
Select your program from the field trip listings for each site or choose the location you would like to visit and contact the appropriate staff person. Send in a Registration Form or E-mail and we will contact you.
